Descripción: CERN: resume of the year 2010 Millions of collisions each second. Temperatures 100,000 times hotter than the heart of the sun. 10,000 tons of liquid nitrogen. An enormous network of thousands of computers ready to process the millions of gigabytes that will be generated. These facts are now well-known and characterise the complexity of the LHC, which started in earnest on 30th March 2010. A year marked by a number of different, exciting events. A remarkable year all round. Welcome to this final edition of Spotlight on CERN for 2010. With my colleague Stéphan Petit, we are privilege to review these twelve months in the life of CERN with our guests Sergio Bertollucci, Director for Research and Computing and Steve Myers, Director for Accelerators and Technology.
